Red Queen
All hail the queen.
The queen of hearts a personal favourite character of mine, I wanted to design her with this pointed, sharp regal look and was inspired by the design of the queen game piece in chess.
she has gone though a few style changes but I first stated with a concept art piece (full colour illustration on far right) to capture the essence and emotion I was going for.

This character was created as a companion character for the queen of hearts, I want a design that is softer more squishy, and less serious.
I was also very excited to rig this character as I felt its design would work well in a 2d cut animation style.

some of my favorite objects are game machines from arcades specifically ball machines the look of them was always inviting and sleek put you knew you would always win. so i tried my hand at designing some ball machines my self i wanted them to look themed, fun, and unique.
